The first step is for an assessment to be made. If the tree is deemed hazardous or destructive, it will be put on our removal list. Unfortunately due to recent circumstances we have had to delay our removals. In the past there have been cases where a resident has received permission to hire a contractor to remove a city tree. Once the risk assessment has been made, I will update this post. From there, if you feel that the matter cannot wait, we can then discuss other options for removal. We appreciate your patience and understanding through this difficult time.

Hi, I’m following up on this. Will this ever been removed? It’s been marked since April.
We can take this tree out ourselves but would like approval from the city first.

At this point in time, due to the virus and the amount of storm damaged trees, our budget is stretched very thin. It may take us quite some time to get to this specific issue. If you would rather remove this tree and not wait on us then you have the permission needed to remove it.
