Ridley Park Resident, whenever I walk my dog in the area (which is like once a week), the house is always empty

I don't understand the "outdoor" cat concept at all. If it's your pet, then it belongs in the house under your control and protection. The same rules that apply to dogs should apply to cats. If you don't care enough about it to protect it from cars, wild animals, the elements, etc., then don't own a cat. Simple as that.

If you contact the following organizations they may be able to put you in touch with people who Trap Neuter & Return. They trap the cats humanely, deliver them to the vet to be neutered and return the cats to the outdoors.

Please just don't call animal control. Forgotten Cats will spat & neuter and find them homes. Animal Friends of Lansdowne is wonderful as well. There are so many happy stories out there of matches and companionship for people who weren't looking for it..till they met that new furry friend. Most recently..a wounded war vet...who cannot imagine life without his "Shadow!."
