Description
I just watched two park maintenance workers walk by a group of people playing loud music from a boom box, which is not allowed in the park. Other groups were throwing balls around in the areas clearly designated "no ball playing", there were people smoking, people were walking dogs on the pet-free areas, and numerous other violations. The maintenance workers simply went about their business without bothering to tell the group to turn down the music. Please instruct park employees to start enforcing the rules. The lawlessness that's going on is ruining the park for the entire neighborhood.

A. Park employees need to enforce the rules, at least while they are going about their usual duties. It only takes a moment for them to ask people to not play music or to put our their cigarettes.

For code enforcement, please contact JCPD at 201-547-5477.
Park Maintenance Personnel would solely be responsible for cleaning the Park, and replacing dog bags and signage.

Please be advised that our Parks Staff can respectfully advise constituents that they may be violating ordinances and/or laws.
We just cannot enforce them, other than contacting the necessary authorities, as I had previously advised.
We, too, are committed to keeping a controlled and safe environment, unfortunately, we just can not issue violations.
Again, our illustrious public safety department has been the most helpful and reliable in enforcing any such violations.
