South-most jetty garbage cans are overwhelmed on weekends. I understand that the newly formed beach by the rocks is not City property, however, those who use it are dumping garbage on the ground after the nearby cans are full-- including food that attracts the rats and broken glass bottles. I have cleaned this area multiple times in an attempt to avoid having the jewel of Venice look like a dumping ground,have kids' feet cut up and encourage even more littering. More cans need to be in this end. They will not cross the lot to the large toters near Jetty Jacks. I guess it's trashy behavior, pun intended. I have noticed the can inside the immediate left of the park entry is rarely full, and there are others very close by. If the City is unwilling to put more cans in, can it move this one to the trouble spot? The problem is not going to go away.
