Closing ticket in street potholes and open a new ticket in alley repair.

This ticket is closed in the City's Work Order system.

Alley Repair isn't a drop down option. So I changed the title to Alley Repair

Hold up now y'all. Let's keep this issue open until it's actually been done. This is replacing another SCF issue for the same alley that was up for a year (and had been assigned two city work orders), but was never done. "DONE" means it was finished, not that it was simply assigned a work order and some vague review-and-inspection status.

For once just DO SOMETHING! You know, instead of assigning it to another department, giving it a few work order #s and having some other department close it without so much as a site evaluation. This issue has been going on since Oct 2012 and the previous SCF issue for this alley had 115 votes. What did you do? Oh just keep the issue open on the website but behind the scenes you had closed it. Please show us all that this platform actually works and gets things done. Pave the alley!

Oh you forwarded it to another department?? Crazy. That never happens. I guess we can assumed it's closed and will never be fixed. Will someone from this department be commenting on their plans to fix the problem?

18 days have passed. City of Richmond where do we stand. Big potholes at the end of alley near Rowland now.

Another 23 days with no response or update from the city. Snow has made the deterioration worse. Why can't the alleyway between main and Floyd be paved? Someone has posted a complaint on almost every block for this stretch of alley

@Sorrento. Here's how this is going to go down:

1. The City will acknowledge your complaint (done).
2. Then another City person will state that their equipment to fix the alley is being repaired.
3. Next the City will repost my comment with my personal email address (not sure why but they don't have anything better to do).
4. Finally, the City will close this request (they've done that with several other alley repair requests) hoping you don't notice.
5. Then the cycle begins again.
6. Do-loop, rinse and repeat. Good luck!

I know! It's ridiculous. This alley is awful. I bet if I called on this and referenced the incident #s above they would tell me it's been closed even though it shows as being in the acknowledged on the website. That has happened before as well. City of Richmond, whoever I am speaking to, please come look at this alley

Called on this issue. The estimate is June 10th. "They are pretty behind"

@Sorrento...you'll be lucky if they come on June 10th. There are hundreds of alley repair requests on this website. And none of them are getting fixed. And a lot are getting closed without being fixed. Be diligent and hopefully yours will get fixed!

Why is this closed ? The alley still hasn't been corrected. Maybe if it were a historic site we would have better luck getting it paved over.

please ellaborate more before attempting to close an issue "City of Richmond System." What is your reason for trying to close this issue? We have been trying to get this alley fixed for over a year.

This team has had problems with equipment breakage in regards to motor graders that break and need repair and may have broken again and back in the shop. Also members of the Alley Team are engaged in leaf and/ or snow removal services right now. Regardless, please know the City of Richmond is endeared to addressing your alley repair needs as soon as possible and this case file is still under review and being continually monitored for servicing. Just spoke to @Sorrento and he asked that this request be closed since it is a duplicate request.

We have closed this issue and moved the CRS# 20020926261 to issue ID 243095 which has 122 votes. Please do not reopen this issue but refer to "Can't access my Driveway" Issue ID 243095 for all concerns regarding this issue.

This location is open on another SeeClickFix Ticket #-243095 for action for maintenance of the holes. Inspections thus far have noted the private paved driveway at 2024 W Main St sets too high above the alley off of City Right of Way. There are costs and planning involved with a project of this magnitude. We have not had any luck finding an mgmt team to approve building up or re-engineering the alley grade several inches higher to touch the lips of this driveway and the driveway at 2028 W Main St. This matter is still under review and a follow up notice was sent out to DPW Mgmt today. This consideration is still being handled on SeeClickFix #-243095
