There are now 2 posts related to this issue. The other one is ID8584735.which was assigned to DPW and this one to Brain Howard so which one is it neither ? It is not town property it is the gas companies right of way !
They should be maintaining it and the people dumping it there should be fined.

Since the gas line is on town property, it would appear that the gas company has compensated the town for allowing them to put the gas line on said properties. I do hope that politics does is not going to be played in this situation. If the gas company is responsible to maintaining this property then it would to the towns benefit and the responsibility of the towns representatives
to followup and to make sure that the gas company takes responsibility.

The bottom line is that it can't become a dumping ground ! The town already has a problem with people dumping their trash and junk in parks fields and other town owned property.
This needs to be sorted out by the town and the gas company for who is responsible.
Not sure what politics has to do with it !

Agree there are many areas in the town where people do not have consideration by properly disposing of trash/debris. Constant reminders posted may be helpful. We need to com-bate by working together.

As far as the town property where the gas lines were put in either the town or the gas company should be responsible to maintain the property. The politics that a re being referenced to is that the town and gas company cannot be pointing the finger at each other. Who ever is responsible should just step up to the plate.

The gas lines on Chestnut Street is across from 101 Chestnut Street. This piece of property use to be beautiful with many unusual foliage. Since the gas company has come in and basically demolished the foliage the beauty is gone... and debris ends up like a land fill. Just come down and take a good look.... thank you

Still awaiting a response from the town a month latter? Seems like an important issue which needs clarification from a town official ASAP.

Will the Town Clerk please remind Brain Howard or who ever it is that is responsible to respond !

This has been an ongoing situation. Many beautiful trees and greens were destroyed in order for the gas company to put the pipes in place. It seems like the property on Chestnut street is now just neglected. The gas company comes I believe every 3-5 years and just cuts down what ever growth that comes in their path.... We all need to do our part to keep this town attractive and inviting.... One other issue is education. Most towns thrive when their school system exceeds all expectations.

Now it is 2 months !

Will the Town Clerk please remind Brain Howard, or who ever it is that is responsible to respond !

Has there been a resolution, if so what is it ? If not why was it closed ?

It would be nice if the town would show leadership in maintaining the towns properties....and keep the towns properties in good standings.

It would e nice to see that the town take pride in maintaining the properties, it would influence others to do the same.

The property has not been attended to as there are empty beer bottles, empty nips and debris still infecting the soil.
Environmentally this is not healthy for anyone and does not enrich the town.... before you know it it will become a land fill.
As a nearby resident we do try an pick up some of the debris that is close to the road. This property is in the neighborhood or 99 and 168 Chestnut Street. Some one should take a good look.

Status Months Old !

Some one from the town should take a closer look as there are now bags of trash now being thrown on to this piece of town property. Also, once and a while you see small bags of trash left in the street up and down Chestnut street which does not get picked up nor do I believe it is the weekly collectors responsible. People need to be made more aware of others property.

There is still debris that makes this area look unkept and unsanitized . It would be nice if a portable fence could be put in place to prevent people from disposing of their trash on public property. Plus I don't believe any official would like this by their home.

Please keep Chestnut Street family healthy for all it's residents

This issue has been assigned to the Randolph DPW for review and remedy. An update will follow shortly.

Sadly this issue was supposed have been assigned to the Towns DPW some time ago but still there is debris sitting on this piece of town property. As was mentioned some time ago, there is a child's plastic swimming that has been lingering for a long period of time.

Chestnut Street use to be so beautiful before the gas lines were placed. Another issue this street is residential, so shy are semi trailers coming and going. There is no apparent reason for them to be doing so. Please help and stop them!!
