This has been a desired upgrade for many years now. With the recent installation of pedestrian signals, we have a better means of adding this feature previously unavailable. It remains high on our radar to get this done. The existing aerial string of signals, dating probably from the 1970's, is the last of three to be replaced with new LED signals at this critical and very busy set of intersections. Parts are on hand, but the work will have to wait until spring, behind a major upgrade at St. Paul & Howard. This is not "broken," as in needing a repair, and will be reclassified as an upgrade request.

Please upgrade as soon as possible. The left turns onto Barrett are often fast darting maneuvers which cut off downhill travel as a result of impatience from zero or one cars getting through each light at rush hour. Please note a pedestrian was killed at this intersection by a car making a left onto Barrett St.
