Description
Northbound cars regularly ignore the left turn only lane to turn onto Dimmock Street. The sole purpose of which is to cut ahead of traffic. Cars accelerate at a high rate of speed then in most cases cut into traffic with no turn signal making a very dangerous situation for those legally proceeding up Adams street. Pedestrians are also at risk with this drag race tactic.

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. This request was submitted before the City began using the SeeClickFix system, and only appeared as a relevant issue when the most recent comment was made.
I will speak with the QPD regarding this problem. The City made the change to three dedicated lanes in 2009. When it first started, the situation you describe happened frequently, and it has improved somewhat since then. I will also speak with the traffic department to see what can be done to improve signage in the area.
