Pontiac Trail along with Maple Road conditions make downtown Walled Lake a very depressing place to be. I woulk think this would affect business for the city. It used to be a nice town. Very sad to see this happen.

Heavy maintenance activities are planned for this interesection when the asphalt plants open in another couple of weeks (probably late April). This work is intended to stabilize the road for this year. It will then be reconstructed next year (reconstruction funds are not available until 2012).

Most of the heavy maintenance work has been done. A little remains, and will be done when crews become available. This work was not intended to provide new surface but to make the worst parts passable until full resurfacing can be done -- full resurfacing is scheduled for next year.
