In the winter months we apply a cold patch (the gravel you were referring to) to the affected area as a temporary fix. These locations are noted and we follow up with a permenant repair in the summer (typically starting in May, depending on the weather). Roads that are heavily traveled tend to need temporary patches on a regular basis during this time of year. Please let us know if the temporary patch is no longer holding and we need to return.
