(From Andrew Germaine via Facebook): Everywhere the NYS DOT has laid down their thin ribbons of blacktop along the edge of the road! Case in point- route 100 in Somers north and south of the Trooper barracks.
I never understood this practice. They lay it down for miles, and it gets ripped up every year by the plows. It would be better if they did nothing. Just pave the road.
