This occurs every day of the week, however I saw it at 2:45 on 3/19/2011. There are tour busses idling in the tunnel of the convention center on 12th street every day. The make of these busses was Tour World Incorporated, but I have seen everyone doing it with impunity.

Clean Air Council uses IdleFreePhilly to gather information on idling hotspots, and we have noted under the Convention Center before. Keep the reports coming because it is important to track that this is a recurring problem to better target Air Management Services enforcement efforts.

If a bus, large commercial truck or construction equipment is observed to be running its engine while stationary, please contact the Air Management Services Unit at 215-685-7580.
For all other vehicles, (cars, pickup trucks, vans, motorcycles, etc.), please report them to the Police Department at 911. Thank you. (mb)
