I agree, people run that red light from Riverside going to Pierce Ave ALL the time. It’s very dangerous for those of us coming out of Forest Ridge Dr.

I have checked the timing of this intersection and it is more than adequate for the direction of traffic you have described to clear or stop when the signals turn red before the side streets get their green lights. There is a sign next to lane in question telling them not to turn on red. I will make a suggestion for another sign just like the one present on the side of the road to be installed directly above the lane you are referring to as an extra deterrent to hopefully keep people from running the red. If this continues, this will be an issue for the Sheriff's department to ticket the infractions as they occur.

I have confirmed that a work order has been placed for a new NO TURN ON RED sign to be installed over the right turn lane in question. It should be installed soon.

There is "No RIght Turn on Red" sign already in place. It has been there since the intersection was redesigned a few years back. The problem occurs when cars run the red/orange light on Riverside at the same time that the light on Forest Ridge turns green. Signage is not the solution. A timing delay will correct the issue.

As previously stated, I have checked on the timing and the timing is more than sufficient for traffic to clear the intersection or stop BEFORE Forest Ridge gets the green light.
We are evaluating solutions to quell this behavior and additional signage is the first solution we can implement quickly. We will be monitoring this intersection to see if the additional signage helps to resolve this issue. There are other solutions available if the additional signage does not solve the issue.
However, if these solutions do not stop motorists from running the red light in the future, it will be an issue for the Sheriff's department to ticket offenders as the infractions occur.
