Do you know if it is possible to add crosswalks at this intersection?

CT crosswalk law applies to all intersection corners even if there isn't a painted crosswalk.

What is the speed limit and how are you estimated speed? How many cars per hour go through the intersection?

Hi Ben,

I just spotted this. It was great of you to add the Mayor of Ansonia to the site as a watcher. The administration in Ansonia has changed and it's VITAL that the new mayor, the police chief and others be added as watchers immediately as this site is growing all the time with new reports.

Whatever your team can do to insure the right government officials in each town are notified of posts in their communities only helps this site and fosters communication.

I witnessed cars rolling through this stop sign last week four times.
The problem is a car coming down Platt to this stop sign can see clearly that no one is coming up Platt (which is then one-way) and since no one can be coming from Columbia (as it is also one way towards Main) they assume there is no need to obey the sign and keep moving, by making a left turn onto Columbia.

Yes, it's true when you approach that sign if you don't see anyone coming up Platt there is no VEHICULAR reason to stop... but that doesn't mean a pedestrian isn't in the street.

Sadly, there is no where for a police car to hide in this cramped area to enforce the sign. Of course people will stop if they see a cop and then run it again when the cop car is gone. Not a solution.
