Description
People speed very fast on 76th Avenue as there are nonstop signs or speed bumps.
77th has both so they cut down to 76th to fly through the streets at high speeds in this residential neighborhood.
Either a stop sign or speed bumps would be greatly appreciate for neighborhood safety

Speed humps are designed to achieve an average operating speed of 25 MPH when installed between 400' to 600' apart.
Traffic studies were conducted at two locations and the results are as follows -
1 - between Organdy and Orpine =
E/B - 296 vehicles, average operating speed = 31.22 MPH
W/B - 122 vehicles, average operating speed = 35.63 PH
34 of 418 vehicles or 8.1% exceeded 35 MPH
2 - between 10th & 14th Streets =
E/B = 98 vehicles, average operating speed = 35.63 MPH
W/B = 176 vehicles, average operating speed = 36.36 MPH
and 46 of 274 vehicles or 16.8% exceeded 35 MPH
Based on this data both locations qualify for speed humps with speeds over the 35 MPH threshold between 10th and 16th Streets.
Please contact me directly to obtain a petition for circulation along 76th Avenue N which is the next step in the process, at 893-7843.
