Description

Six or seven deer live in the wooded areas between Clinton and Lafayette Avenues, in the 200 block. Sometimes they cross Lafayette, and go to the yards behind the houses on the 300 block of Second St. They (or perhaps other deer) graze in the wooded area between the condominium at the corner of Second and Clinton and the Highpoint Apartment at Second and Lafayette. Of course they eat garden foliage, but the main danger is that they regularly cross Second St., which is often busy, and Lafayette, causing motorists to brake suddenly to avoid hitting the deer. I am concerned about the safety of having deer residing in the Southside neighborhood.
