答 Two large lindens were removed in front of 14 Highview Terrace yesterday. I am presuming there was a permit issued for this, because of a previous attempt on December 12th for which there was not a permit. Does the Shade Tree board vet these requests? I've been told for years by Vince Licari, whose firm has pruned my trees, that the lindens on Highview and Hillcrest can only be taken down for storm damage or disease. The trees that were removed looked pretty healthy to me. Appreciate your feedback on the stewardship of these supposedly protected trees.
