Description
While I greatly appreciate the existence of and the city's participation in the outdoor ice skating at South Park, the post lights-out social scene is problematic. For a couple of hours after closure, occupants of idling vehicles regularly toss fast food containers and beer cans onto the street, which are mashed up and flattened by cars parking the next day. Perhaps a trash can would help? Additionally, an evening drive-by from some of our beleaguered police force may calm or curtail the extended partying.

According to this request, the park users you are describing are violating 3 different Burlington code of ordinances. Enforcement of these ordinances is the responsibility of the Burlington Police Department. If you encounter said issues, these 3 ordinances can be sited by a officer on scene. Please contact the police if you discover any of these violations occurring again. We will send out Parks staff to pick up the trash but the parks department does not have staffing to enforce ordinance violations after hours.
