ccain assigned this issue to Burlington Parks

I called the police after a car scraped another car and I almost got hit.. The officer who answered the phone said he’d tell the parking enforcement person who apparently did nothing..

the parking division went to check out the parking and without signage we can not ticket a vehicle without proper signage. I assigned this to parks and recreation.

Are u kidding me?! There were cars parked along the side of the road where the “no parking this side of street” signs are. It was a Cluster____ over there yesterday.

There is signage, I’ll contact my city councilor because it’s not a great idea to have a sight impaired person doing parking enforcement or making false statements to excuse poor job performance.

Of course there are no cars parked along the park road at the ungodly hour of 8:00 am...they should check with The police dept and see how many calls they got about Oakledge park on 3/23/21.

Living right next to Oakledge in Southwind this is a constant issue. On top of parking, excessive speeding in and out of the park. 2 summers ago a drunk driver struck one of the rocks along the side of the toad and flipped her car, fortunately no one was injured but with the amount of pedestrians in the area it could have been bad. You would also be amazed at the amount of late night traffic going in and out after 10pm and as late as 3-4am. City of Burlington really needs to step up their monitoring of Oakledge especially as nicer weather becomes more consistent.
