I should note... I volunteer AND support community service. This is a neighborhood, there are places and resources for these events... and plenty of them to support. Leaving food out is how you get a pest problem..:

The city is well aware of the table, it was on the news and is very well cared after and maintained. Heaven forbid we help one another right now.

Yes, KS and my other wonderful tax paying neighbors must do a lot for the community when they are not patrolling the online world! I’m a registered nurse... who is now installing security cameras around my home because of multiple break- ins. I appreciate everyone’s love for a folding table that must do a lot of great things... but my experience hasn’t been great. I pull into my neighborhood to people speeding past my home after grabbing their canned goods. I’ve had homeless people sleeping in my alley... please save your explaining for someone else. I can only imagine if these well intended ideas went to some meaningful cause or organization in my community... there are many. A Salvation Army is around the corner... but I’m sure you online patrols are already there right now!

This table does not bring in the element you clearly speak of. You must be new to the neighborhood.

Kelly, I’ve chosen to invest in this community, my time period in it isn’t a popularity contest. I won’t waste my time arguing on here though, you can rest assured I won’t let where I live be trashed! Blessings!

We may have issues in our neighborhood but the Sharing Table isn't one of them.

Your facts are wrong. This is a blessing to many. It does not cause break-ins or speeding. Those issues were here long before this table. If you think speeding is related to people who are hungry, you have a bizarre view of life.
I also haven't seen any posts online asking for donations.

The food table maybe made sense once upon a time to you... it doesn’t now. I do hope you grow with the changes. And being an eye sore to the neighborhood IS a problem. Even if it makes you feel good about yourself.

Also... it’s the people running the food table responding, only anyone that self absorbed would care. Many neighbors have taken this issue directly to them... unfortunately they derive their identity here, it makes them feel like good people so here we are taking to the internet world before we go direct.

I’m pretty awake so I’m wondering... what do food tables bring to Kenwood? Which food tables have you found there to be helpful in the community? I’m an avid runner, and an early morning runner... I haven’t noticed any, in either of our neighborhoods other than yours.

This person complaining is inept and delusional. It’s regulated diligently by the property owners whom don’t leave the food out over night - so there aren’t late ally visitors (considering it’s on the corner of a street/Ave). The local community table is for those in COPNA to give, receive and share, creating a togetherness in the neighborhood through very difficult times. So disappointing one of our own neighbors is so selfish and causing an unnecessary problem.

This table existed before you moved here last year. If you didn't like it, should have bought elsewhere. Seems you really wanted Kenwood anyway. And we don't have an HOA. Again, there are plenty of places in st pete that do have restrictions. Perhaps that may be more conducive to what you are seeking?
You comment as if you know who runs the table. No one who commented runs it. I'm sure we all sort it though.

Chan Bristow, I am not another version of any profile. I am my own person and own my own home in the neighborhood. The “inept and delusional” comments were in regards to the illegitimate accusations that were initially made. Maybe take some time to “read” and really “understand” what people are saying before you dramatize things.

I’m new to this app as of a couple days ago and have no interest in arguing, but stating facts, points and my own opinion. I utilize the table for what it’s mean for; I drop things off and take things I need or could use. I have seen no uptick in riff raff as they are always around, we do live in a bustling city.

This is ridiculous. The person who runs this table is an absolute angel. Food is not left out over night and it is well maintained through the day. Every neighborhood has its issues, INCLUDING KENWOOD, however maybe that area would be better suited for you. We are in a safe pocket however being the location people tend to cut through from 34th to 49th. The sharing table has nothing to do with that. Im glad you are installing cameras though, better keep an eye on those ruffians and thugs looking for apples and a bag of lentils.

Chant you are the king of the Karen's I actually live here been here 26 years there's nothing on that table after 8 so plz give proof to your claim it's bad for the hood becuse well its been up 2 years and so fare the hoods the same as its been sence I was a kid 26 year ago sence I've lived here my intire life is you want a Karen hood you should move to one of those hills called a hoa you'd like it there you will be with your kind in Karen topia
