Description
DC shovels the snow but they forget that there are residents in wheelchairs that can't get across the streets because they have not bothered to shovel those ramps and cross walks. The side was cleared but I could not get to the store across the street because the ramps and cross walks are full of snow. I called DC government before and they did nothing.

Hello neighbor,
Thank you for requesting shoveling assistance via Snowcrew.org. My name is Joseph Porcelli and I am the founder and volunteer organizer of Snowcrew - our goal is to help you get shoveled out and to help you meet and form bonds with your neighbors!
Snowcrew is NOT a substitute for emergency services. If you are having a medical emergency or feel unsafe you MUST call 911.
By requesting shoveling assistance, you are doing so at your own risk and you are NOT guaranteed to be shoveled. Your chances of being shoveled out depends on the number of people who have volunteered near you, their availability, and the number of requests in your area.
We recommend that you engage your neighbors, call local churches, gyms, construction companies, VFW and American Legion posts, and the Knights of Columbus to let them know you need help. Doing so has helped others get shoveled out!
If anything changes or your end or you find alternate shoveling assistance, you MUST let us know by posting a comment. By doing so, you will inform those who may be heading over to help you that you are all set and allow our volunteers shovelers and organizers to focus their efforts on others who need help.
Please also keep in mind it may take a couple of days to get dug out and most volunteers are only able to do so in the evening or on the weekend as most work during the day. As a volunteer, during the week, I help out in the early morning, during my lunch break and after work. On the weekends, I have more flexibility.
Please help spread the word out about Snowcrew - we provide the technology and neighbor provide the power. You can stay in touch with us and help spread the word by sharing out posts on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/snowcrew.org or on twitter at @Snowcreworg
Thanks,
