We have a large very deep ditch in front of our house. It has been eroding into our yard since we moved in 2008. The ditch is very dangerous as someone could get hurt if they fall into the ditch. The city and us as homeowners could be held liable. There are two trees leaning from the dirt erosion exposing roots. We put our house on the market about 2 years ago and people would not even enter the house to look at it because of the ditch. It is making the property depreciate. We have filed a complaint several years ago as it continues to take out yard in the front of the house from erosion and noone contacted us. We notice some rocks had been added in a few place but that has not helped much. Drainage pipes need to be added and the hole filled in so that no one will get hurt. It would also help keep the trees from falling over the road and injuring someone since the dirt around the roots continues to erode away. We live a block from Rosa Taylor Elementary School. Children could get hurt if walking to school. Please let us hear from you and what can be done about it.
