How about calling the FORESTRY department at the CITY. This website is nothing more than a place to complain. It has NO TIES TO THE CITY. Jesus, take some responsibility for your own situation, can you?

I have called them. Repeatedly. I did take control of the situation. But if I complete the control, I will be the one going to jail for cutting down a dangerous tree. So, unless you are with the forestry department or the city, then I suggest you stay out of this one. It is quite obvious you do not know what you are talking about. If you do work for them then why arent you doing your job?

I have called them 3 times, still no response. The last 2 times I was told someone would get back to me and they were aware of the prob. They are also aware that this same tree has ruptured sewage pipes and has caused sewage backup in peoples basements. The tree, while old and SOMEONE ancient is amenace on so many ways. And forestry ignores it. I am tired of fighting. I HAVE called forestry and anyone else I could think of. There is no one left to call unless it is the tree removal guys that I would have to pay and then of course the city would arrest me for this. I still would pay for a new tree to replace this one. All the city has to do is cut this dangerous one down. How does a really nice red Japanese maple out here? That would be so pretty.

Last time I called was day after that last rieally bad storm, not the most frequest rough one. The also told me they had no previous complaints!!! I may be crazy but I KNOW I made those reports.

still not fixed. tree has dropped branches on people now. Injuries have been caused. Car damages to several cars as well. WHY is the city waiting? Sewer pipes to houses and to the street have been broken by the invasive root system. Now not only is the sidewalk totally destroyed, the street curb is now deforming from the roots of this tree. Forestry has been notified, as well as anyone else that was suggested. Oh and the 1 crack that was starting to get wider? Now the tree has a SECOND crack. This tree WILL split 3 ways and take out at least 3 houses as well as the cars that park on the street. It is getting worse! Will the city spend the money to cut it down now or will it wait and pay for rebuilding 3 or more homes completely, replace the ruined cars as well as provide all emergency housing and food for the families? Take the tree down and I personally pledge to replace it with a beautiful red japanese maple in the spring only after the sidewalk and the street curb has been PROPERLY repaired. Morrisey, haul your skinny butt out here and look at this mess! You want to be mayor, then act like one and take responsibility for things happening in the town.

still here, still dropping branches. now there is personal physical injury. and guess who it was? yep. Me. a branch near 8 feet long simple fell and hit the area between my right ear and neck. massive bruising across my throat and up my neck as well as down across my back/ shoulder a few days later another branch BARELY missed a lady pushing her baby in astroller while her older child (4 or 5) walked behind. I can only say thankgod theyw ere NOT cloers together because the branch went down right between them. come on city of mockford, do something about the tree. or are you waiting for a critical injury or death before you look?

The cityneeds to take the tree down before winter. Unless, of course, they WANT to buy me a brand new house when this tree comes crashing down on me. I hope I am not hurt by the tree a SECOND time! First time happened during one of the last early summer storms, when a massive branch came whipping down from the street side and landed right on me, All I was trying to do was roll up the windows on my car. Yes. I did report THAT. As usual, nothing happened. Bruises heal. But its frustrating. It should never have happened.
