Description
At this crossword, there are stop signs for cars but they routinely ignore it. Additionally, the street doesn’t have lane delineations and is wide, so even if a car does stop for a pedestrian, other cars swerve and go around it without realizing there is a crosswalk.

Good afternoon,
The Department has developed a plan to narrow the travel lane on 2nd Street and installing a protected bike lane along the south side of the street. The plan is being reviewed through the Ward Counciperson's office with the PADNA neighborhood association.

Notes:
*Two blocks from School (Elementary)
*Close to major shopping center
*Between two major thorough fares in a very dense part of the City
Issues:
1) Vehicles turning the wrong way from Warren when turning onto Second St to cut through to the shopping center.
2) Dangerous for pedestrians – Many parents walk through this intersection for bringing their children to and from the Brunswick School
3) Second Street is too wide
4) Drivers ignore the stop sign @ Warren St
5) Crosswalk is difficult to see
6) Crosswalk is not accessible to all
Requests:
1) Street/intersection redesign
2) Better signage
3) Lane striping
4) Highlight the crosswalk
5) Pave Second St
It looks like this intersection is already actively being worked on by the engineers and planners: The Department has developed a plan to narrow the travel lane on 2nd Street and installing a protected bike lane along the south side of the street. The plan is being reviewed through the Ward Council person's office with the PADNA neighborhood association.
