Roadway is deteriorating further! Any word on whether there are plans to repave this? It's way beyond just pothole fixes now.

Don't close this. I drive down this street 4 times a day 5-7 days a week. Mt. Hope is one of the most dangerous streets in Lansing. It has been in this and worsening condition since 2012. In addition to the potholes, badly done repairs and neglect from the city, you also have to remember this is a heavily populated area with wild creatures who dart across the road. Deer, turkeys and other animals also have to dodge the cars and potholes.
The city, however, does have money to repair a very short span of a residential street
(Lindbergh drive) that wasn't nearly as bad as the condition of Mt. Hope, but leaves a heavily driven section in such disrepair, I'm amazed someone hasn't been killed yet driving in the middle and bike lanes.

Patching of Mount Hope was completed in October 2015. There are still a number of problems that need to be addressed, especially where the motorized travel lanes was skim coated and the pavement is higher than in the left turn lane or bike lane. Expect icy patches during the winter.

I am so worried that a bicyclist or jogger will be hit along the bike path of Mt Hope between Aurelius & Harrison. MANY cars drive on the bike path to avoid the potholes. Are you going to wait to repair the road until AFTER someone gets hurt or killed?

Why close this issue???? This road is worse than it was I when I originally posted way back in 2014. The response from the city in 2014 was a joke then and this road is still hazardous. I guess city of Lansing is waiting until someone gets killed until they finally actually repair NOT PATCH this road. In fact the east bound lane is down to gravel in a small section. Hey that's an idea why don't we just go back to dirt and gravel roads, then COL won't have to repair/patch any of our roads.
