Over the weekend the water turned very smelly and tasted awful, so bad that we had to resort to bottle water. I now see that there is an algae problem. Please look into the south meriden area.▶Archivé

"According to the Director of Public Utilities, there was a late algae bloom this weekend. Dana Lane water lines will be flushed today. The Broad Brook reservoir will be shut down this morning and treatment started. The water was tested last week and is safe to drink despite the odor."
As noted in other threads, the problem is back. Ive had no response to emails, calls or text. I hope they are just too busy fixing the issue. The smell and taste continue to get worse. I can not use the water at all. This is disgusting, and an issue we shouldnt have to deal with!

The City tried to bring Broadbrook reservoir back on line again. The tests on the water indicated the algae issue had been resolved, but that does not seem to be the case. We have taken the reservoir off line again as of last Friday and begun clearing lines where problems have been reported.
Above is the timely response to the problem reported 5 days earlier. ( another thread )
Today again, or still, our water is gross. I can not use the water, and when I do open the faucet, the whole house smells terrible!
THIS MATTER NEEDS PROPER ATTENTION NOW.
Please Note: In the thread - " Bad water in South Meriden, Again "
There was a prompt response from L. Kendzior, and the city. They were on my street taking samples early this morning. He noted that all main lines and pipes are being flushed. Hope this helps.
