Approximately 40 of these incidents have been "acknowledged" by 311 since the scooters were dropped off May 1st. I am grateful for the residents who take the time to report. What does "acknowledged" by 311 mean, exactly; what happens after reporting?

Do not use the Bird and Lyft apps to report scooter violations. For the City of Mpls Public Works staff to see and tabulate the on going scooter violations they must be reported using the “311” app. Please use “311” to report scooter, nice ride and other violations that are seen. Thanks!!!!

An anonymous SeeClickFix user, duh! that's why I said "we can also report". I don't know about you but I have the capacity to report at multiple sites at once. I never said do not report to 311, thank you. People should report to both.

Question for City of Minneapolis: What is being done to assure that LYFT and BIRD are charging the appropriate fines for these unacceptable end-of-rides?

They have never issued a fine. 1 ticket and 0 fines issued in all of last year - and 0 and 0 this year to the best of our research.
