I support this report as I drive south on Bryn Mawr Dr. crossing Granville Rd. to turn left on W. Church St. and see cars blow through the stop sign on W. Church St. heading west to access Rt. 16. I am amazed no one has been hit. I approach it very cautiously when I see a car coming. As far as I can tell, I have the right of way if the other car has a stop sign. Thanks for looking into this. I want to keep my employees safe.

We have installed additional warning signage at all STOP signs at this location.

While the tiny sign that was put up is semi-helpful (too small), it was installed on the wrong stop sign. It should have been put on the stop sign at the end of the long stretch of west bound Church St ( the portion that goes past AppleTree and Arensberg), just before the straight access to westbound 16. See the exact location of marker on the map.

The signs (there are 5 of them) are regulation size and color. I will have the Traffic Engineering take a look at the placement of signs and we will move or add another as he directs. Thank you.

Thanks. Have him park at Arensberg's during morning/evening "rush hours" and watch the vehicles blow right thru the stop sign (often without slowing down) and straight onto westbound 16.

I will forward your complaint regarding vehicles blowing through the STOP sign to the Police Dept. It is not an issue that Traffic Control or the Traffic Engineer can act on. Thank you.

I watched a van run the stop sign again at the straight access to westbound 16 last night (5/2/14). The new sign is not working. Could the word "STOP" be painted on the pavement at both the straight access and the right hand turn? And/or add a second sign that reads "all traffic must stop". Some drivers may think the stop sign is for the right hand turn lane only. There used to be a sign there that said the right hand turn lane did not have to stop.

I was taveling behind a vehicle westbound on W. Church on Thursday, 7:15 PM. We were traveling the speed limit. I was slowing to stop and turn right (north), the other vehicle did not even touch their brakes and whizzed thru the intersection at 35 MPH and onto the 16! Dangerous! Granted, you can see if there is opposing traffic coming but STOP means STOP. I liked the "except for right turn lane" sign that used to accompany the STOP sign. I wish that was reposted.

This is a police issue at this point. They have been notified. You can call them at 670-7200 if you want to register any further complaints on vehicles running the STOP signs. Captain Dave Haren is the Patrol Bureau Commander.
