6944 Blaisdell Av S Minneapolis, Minnesota
I live on the corner of 70th & Blaisdell where some of the gasline work was done last fall. Between grub infestation, previous City infrastructure work and weeds, I've had quite the project to maintain my lawn.
I'm writing today specifically about the portion of the boulevard that is covered with sand. I would like the City to refurbish that area with fresh topsoil.
Here's the background: Last summer I tilled up the boulevard because the weeds were so bad. I even planted buckwheat and tilled it under to condition the soil. Then the workers came to mark the same area for gasline work, much to my dismay, but I know it needed to be done.
When I saw the markers for construction, I called city offices to ask that the soil NOT be refurbished after the work because in the past I've had bad experiences with terribly poor soil being put down - lots of rocks and weeds in it. Perhaps that is why this corner has not been refurbished.
However... when the foreman for the construction crew came by to survey the site, I spoke with him about not wanting the have dirt and grass put down. He told me how the soil would be turned upside down and I'd be left with sand on top so he recommended I have the corner refurbished. So, I agreed to receive the soil, but asked that grass seed not be planted. I have a specific, low growing native grass seed I want to plant on the boulevard as a water conservation effort and to avoid future weeds.
My ask: Can you please refurbish the soil on the corner (see photos with area marked) and NOT put grass seed down? Soon before weeds take off on the rest of the boulevard?
I hope you can tell how much effort I have put into maintaining my lawn, against really difficult conditions (grubs!) so I'd really appreciate your help.
6700 Portland Avenue South Richfield, MinnesotaHello,
I am wondering if there is a plan to add more wood chips under the play equipment at Heredia park, and if not, can you add some? It was really low last fall and now it's getting pretty muddy.
5 W 63rd St Richfield 55423, United StatesThe marker to help people across 63rd and Nicollet to the park is broken and off to the side. Would someone be able to put a new slow down marker/ stand at that intersection. No one ever stops to allow people to cross and everybody is also speeding in that area.
Thanks! Thanked!W 76th Street At Newton Ave S Richfield, MinnesotaThe traffic signal is not working properly early in the morning. The light cycles to all red and the pedestrian "Don't Walk" light will flash on the NE pole. The light will turn green for East and Westbound traffic for approximately 12 seconds and then re-cycle to all red, even though there are no cars Southbound on Newton or exiting Best Buy. I drive through there every morning at 4:55.

6601 Emerson S. richfield, MinnesotaWhoever plowed 66th and Emerson today should consider another line of work. A professional would begin the plow run on the east side of Emerson so a GIANT mound of snow would not block my driveway (approx. 9 feet wide and 4 feet deep). Coming back on the west side of Emerson will deposit the snow without blocking anyone's driveway (other than a normal amount). Does anyone get any training for this job?
