Metal line structure on property was hit by a car and the metal line that provides support to the concrete pole for street light was damaged and is NOW HANGING FROM THE TREE. I put a call into DUKE ENERGY 2 weeks ago but nothing has been done....thinking it's a city issue since it's the street light. It's located on the NW corner of 1st Avenue North and 66th street north

Could this be removed? It's both an eye sore, possible safety issue, and along with wooden pole might be issue as to why the sanitation driver is unable/unwilling to turn left to go down alley between 18th and 19th Avenue North (700 block) entering from 19th avenue North and turning left down alley way like sooo sooo many other drivers have been able to do for past 24 + years. Please help resolve this issue as well as Issue ID: 14984748. Thank you

Please Please Please help resolve the issues with getting these three dumpsters picked up 2X weekly in alley way between 18th and 19th Avenues North (700 block). These were not picked up again on Friday 7/28/23. We've had issues with these dumpster being picked up for at least a year and it's more than us just getting missed....

    Some history.....
First, we were told by a couple of the sanitation men (who were getting the dumpsters in separate smaller trucks) the issues were due to overflowing sand bags on east end of alley (new home being built) which would not allow the truck enough room to turn the corner.
To solve this one, we took it upon ourselves as neighbors (6-7 of us) and spent hours shoveling and clearing that area so enough room for sanitation truck to make right turn on east end of alley to then exit out onto 18th Avenue North.

Second, after the trash still wasn't being picked up consistently, I was told by one sanitation worker picking up trash one day that while they noticed the improvement on east end, the driver of sanitation truck couldn't/wouldn't turn the corner on the west end of alley way. This was never an issue for other drivers (we've lived here for 24+ years)....they'd have to maneuver (2-3 reverses) yet could do it....They'd drive into west end of alley from 19th Avenue and take a left down alley.

One possible solution to make this turn easier to maneuver could be to remove the wooden pole at west end of alley that is not being used for anything....I've been told it's an old telephone line.

    Please help FIX this issue....

I'm sure ALL six (6) neighbors/households impacted would greatly appreciate this getting resolved!

ONCE AGAIN, Our dumpsters were not emptied in the alley way between 18th and 19th Avenue North in the 700-800 block.
It's Friday evening and there are 3 LARGE dumpsters FULL of trash (don't believe it was picked up Tuesday either). This has happened FAR TOO MANY times over the course of several weeks/months. Supervisor told us it was due to the sand bags in the alley way that runs North South behind Crescent Lake Drive in the 1800 block. There's construction of a new home being built (see their contact information below).
And the fix was/has been to have Sanitation employees come back in a smaller truck to pick these dumpsters and carry them away to empty them and bring them back. Which has not been happening with any consistency.

Sound like a lot of EXTRA work that the workers are SUPPOSED to be doing but are NOT on any regular basis.

Please go to the source of the problem and request and then FINE the company doing the construction on that property. Here's their contact information GREEN STREET HOMES - Tampa Bay Premier Energy Star Builder (941)773-5027

Also another great fix would be to take down the dangerous pole with wires hanging out of a box located on NW area of the alley way between 18th and 19th Avenue North between 700 and 800 block...been like that for many years and would also make it easier for trucks to come down alley way as well.

Thank you - We (and the 7 other neighbors directly impacted by this in alley way) appreciate your attention to this situation.

Need 2 NEW dumpsters. This dumpster is further down the alley way and is missing its lid
PLUS I'd prefer a dumpster for my business location at 6601 1st Ave North...in alley way as well but closer to my property. Thank you!

We bought a commercial building in February 2020 and have been rehabbing it. We realize now that there is ONLY one ONE WAY sign that is actually by parking lot of the condo located just west of out property....even this sign is not visible as it is hidden by the light post in front of it.
On our property (6601 1st ave north) there are 2 entrances/exits. There are NO ONE WAY SIGNS. I'm concerned a client might leave our parking lot and turn left going the WRONG WAY on 1st Avenue North....I'd be fine if the ONE WAY SIGNS were across the Street on the south side of 1st Ave North or also OK if these ONE WAY signs are put into the ground on north side of 1st Ave North....I've also requested for a sidewalk to be installed so would request the signs be installed away from potential sidewalk. Thank you!

I purchased a commercial building in February 2020 and have been rehabbing it. I'm now officially open and am concerned about the safety of residents who live in condos west of my property when they WALK on the BIKE PATH since there is no sidewalk on my property or the easement next to the road which is owned by the city. I'm requesting a NEW SIDEWALK be installed here so that folks can be out of the way of bikers who use this bike path as well as the many cars who speed on 1st Avenue North.

This is an empty lot - no house...lots of people walk on this sidewalk everyday to get to the lake....there are several places along the sidewalk that are in need of repair - one that is really bad - I'm concerned someone is going to hurt themselves...there is a big hole!
  • 741 18th Avenue North Saint Petersburg, Florida - St. Petersburg
This sidewalk has MANY cracks and is a pedestrian hazard for the MANY people who walk to and from Crescent Lake EVERY day!!
We are concerned someone is going to trip and fall! PLEASE REPAIR as soon as possible!!!!
