Description
I purchased a commercial building in February 2020 and have been rehabbing it. I'm now officially open and am concerned about the safety of residents who live in condos west of my property when they WALK on the BIKE PATH since there is no sidewalk on my property or the easement next to the road which is owned by the city. I'm requesting a NEW SIDEWALK be installed here so that folks can be out of the way of bikers who use this bike path as well as the many cars who speed on 1st Avenue North.

It is the City's goal to have sidewalks on both sides of every Collector and Arterial roadway in the City, including 1st Avenue N. Currently there are sidewalks on at least one side and here it's the south side.
With funding currently at $300,000 per year it will however take quite some time to reach our goal. Sidewalk gaps have been prioritized and at this time there is over $4M of construction ahead of this location.
