Uhaul rental/car lot dogs Arkiverad241 Catherine Street Albany, New York - Albany
This business is continuing to be a bad neighbor to the residential area it abuts. A resident would never get away with leaving their dogs outside for ~12 hours at night to bark at passerby/whatever they're barking at for a half hour at a time.
Its the functional equivalent of this business having a faulty alarm system that randomly goes off 3-5 nights a week, multiple times a night.I posted a complaint in March that was not addressed, despite the additional issue of these dogs being left outdoors in 15~ degree weather.
The same issue happened last summer, we had to make multiple complaints until the situation improved.Occasionally loud noises are to be expected in the city. But I'm hardly ever woken/kept awake by loud music/fighting/sirens. These dogs are consistent enough and startlingly loud enough to keep anyone awake/wake them up, unless you wear earplugs or use fans/white noise apps every night.
It'll only be worse once it warms enough to require open windows. Please have someone speak to them.

dogs in the car lot Arkiverad241 Catherine Street Albany, New York - Albany
Last year we had quite a lot of problems with the owners of the Catherine St repair place leaving their dogs out all night. They bark incessantly at any passerby all night. (It doesn't help that sometimes people antagonize them.)
We made at least 3 noise complaints last summer about this, and noticed a large improvement after the last time.Well, it's started up early this year. A couple nights this week I've noticed a lot of barking. At me when I come home, at night when I'm trying to get to sleep. Right now, at half past midnight - they've been barking nonstop the last 20 minutes.
Additionally I think it's irresponsible for them to leave these dogs out all night this time of year. It's 17 degrees out. It was also quite cold earlier this week.

Picnic tables and trash Arkiverad213-253 Morton Avenue Albany, New York - AlbanyThere is trash and a disgusting amount of cigarette butts around these two tables and tree. It used to be just one table (that is chained to the tree), but another one was moved over here. There's a group of men who like to sit on the tables and smoke. I'd recommend moving the picnic tables elsewhere in the park, at least farther from the road to deter the littering and smoking at this location.

Illegal Trash Arkiverad33-57 Holland Avenue Albany, New York - AlbanyThere is an unusual amount of trash strewn from the Walgreens down to the McDonalds on Holland Ave.
I think there used to be a solar-power trash bin in front of the McDonalds. That corner could really use another one. Last week a plastic container of pancakes sat on the sidewalk for days. If neither of these businesses can be held responsible for trash clean-up on their sites then hopefully the city can do something about it. -
246 Catherine Street Albany, New York - AlbanyThe owners of the uhaul rental/tire place on Catherine St leave their dogs out all night presumably to deter thieves.
However they bark at everyone and everything day and night.
Residents shouldn't have to wear earplugs to sleep at night even with the windows closed. We'd like someone to speak with the owners.
