The three dogs in this house — a white miniature poodle, a black Scottie dog, and a brown/tan chihuahua — frequently escape the yard due to a number of gaps in the yard’s chain link fence and gate. The Scottie dog is slightly aggressive and the chihuahua will follow me several residential blocks down Trumbull as I walk to work in the mornings. This had been happening for years with the miniature poodle (when they used to have chickens in their backyard they would sometimes escape the yard too), and as the owners seem to be acquiring more dogs, the issue is getting worse. I fear for these dogs’ safety given the amount of traffic on Trumbull and lack of a stop sign on Valencia. This is irresponsible pet ownership.
