5129 Britten Lane Ellicott City, Md 21043 - US Congressional District MD3The is the second time my tire has bumped up against the drain cover and been ruined because it gashes the sidewall. Yes, I should be more mindful, however I was simply inching to the side to allow a school bus to safely go by. One issue (that's prevalent in this community and others) is that the surrounding concrete on many covers has eroded and the iron/steel frames of these drain cover are left exposed and are 'pointed' (90 degree meeting). Short of filling in the concrete so that these edges are no longer exposed, can the edges be rounded off or otherwise treated to make them less of a nuisance? I know there are far more important infrastructure related projects and needs within the county, but it would be good to know that something could be done (yes, including better driving on my part :)).
