More off leash dog problems Archived1800 Northeast 165th Street Shoreline, Washington - ShorelineAn off leash dog came charging full run at me and my dog. I said "don't do it" to its owner, but the dog was already upon us. I raised my leg and deflected the dog from my dog. A shouting match ensued after the owner told me not to "kick" his dog. "He is not an attack dog" he claimed. My dog and I can't determine that in an instant.
About 30 yr old white male with reddish hair, glasses, and a border collie like dog. Nothing like an expletive filled argument to get your heart racing. Just another fun, relaxing walk in Hamlin Park. By the way I will usually take a different path to avoid loose dogs. I'm not looking for a confrontation. -
Off Leash dogs in Hamlin Park Archived1800 Northeast 165th Street Shoreline, Washington - ShorelineThe off leash dog issue hasn't changed since I last reported about Jan 29. Once again off leash dogs run up to my smaller dogs causing them to panic. I stepped on my dogs foot today trying to shoo away someones 2 dogs. The owners usual reply is that their dogs are "friendly" as if they don't need to be on a leash. I don't hike in the park as much as I used to because of this ongoing, infuriating issue. I've contacted Kirk Peterson and Sgt Meyer previously. Sgt Meyer agreed that it is not worthy of a 911 call. Perhaps additional signage explaining city code would help. Or maybe 911 is the best solution.

1800 Northeast 165th Street Shoreline, Washington - ShorelineA relaxing walk in the park with my leashed dog turns stressful when when others unleashed dogs approach and agitate my dog and I. This happened Saturday 1/26 11:00 am and Monday 1/28 10:30 am.
