There has been an overflowing "bagster" on the front lawn for nearly 4 months. In the storm today, the contents are blowing all over Century street and running down all the way to Playstead road. The owner needs to have it removed and clean up all the trash that has blown out. I see there is already a request that was "acknowledged" two months ago. but nothing has been done.

Weekdays 7-9AM (especially 8 to 8:30ish) Century St turns into a drag strip. Cars going 40-50+, full throttle from Playstead Rd. to Woburn St. Frequently running the stop signs at Warren St and Woburn St. Have seen two instances already this school year of pedestrians crossing nearly get hit. Another case someone getting in their parked car was almost sideswiped and the driver did not slow at all, just swerved, honked, and yelled obscenities while going double the speed limit.

It isn't just students, but adults as well. Often will fly right across Woburn St onto Wildwood Rd barely slowing down (if at all). This happens every year but gets worse every year, and it is the worst it has ever been. Someone is going to get killed. By the time they hit the intersection of Clewley many are easily going double the speed limit.

Please re-paint the crosswalks and stop lines along century street (both ends and intersections). They have all completely disappeared. This is a main walkway to the high school and cars run all the stop signs in the morning. Would also be great if they could paint "turn only" arrows at each intersection and where century becomes 1 way at clewley, as there are still issues with wrong way drivers.

Wrong way traffic on Century St has become a chronic issue. Today I witnessed a pedestrian crossing nearly get hit by a wrong way driver. There have been various fender benders over the years and very frequent "near misses" at Warren St and Playstead Rd. This street has many children living on it and many that walk to school from other streets too. Have seen several wrong way drivers come down the street at 40+ MPH and go straight across Playstead without stopping. This is a fatal accident waiting to happen, at some point their luck will run out.

There is one sign at the top of Century (at Clewley where it becomes one way) but it is faded. Having new signs on both sides of Century, possibly both a "DO NOT ENTER" and a left turn arrow with "ONLY" pointing toward Clewley would help. The sign at Symmes St is also faded and in black lettering so not very clear and should be refreshed with a one way sign and either a right turn only arrow or no left turn arrow. Warren st does have a newer arrow sign but maybe another "one way" on top of that would be good there too as people do make a left there frequently as well. Arrows painted on the street would be great but those don't last very long.

Some of the drivers know exactly what they're doing, and while some of them may never abide by the law, others may see that new/more signs have been put up and figure people are paying more attention and be convinced to turn. Other people (especially the large amount of delivery drivers or people staring at their phones) simply don't see the old faded signs and hopefully would see new/bigger/brighter/clearer ones. I'd even go as far as to say maybe one of the ones with flashing LEDs around it would help.

People should be paying attention while they drive but we know distracted driving is a massive problem these days and unfortunately we have to cater to that and try and grab their attention.

Can you please send out an Everbridge/City alert reminding people that the law is they must park within X inches of the curb (whatever the law is, I forget the exact distance), and that a snowbank does NOT negate this law? there are numerous streets around medford where a fire truck or ambulance could not pass (regular cars can barely pass), and this makes it literally a life or death situation.

    Thanks

Yard waste pickup never occurred this week on all of Century St and several other streets in the area.

At the intersection of rural ave and winthrop rotary (sorry don't have the pole number, but if you're leaving Rural Ave it is directly to your right). Ever since installed last fall, it flashed on and off constantly when it was cold out. Now it is totally dead.

LED light cycles on and off once per second, very distracting to drivers. Only seems to do it when it is below like 50-60 degrees out. Has done it since it was installed last fall (was ok during the summer in the warmer temps).

I don't have the pole number but it is directly across from Essex St and the pole has a T Bus Stop sign on it.

Just FYI there is a light in this area that did not get swapped to LED, it is hidden somewhat by a tree so probably got missed. Not sure if the city is getting credit/lower cost for each light that is swapped so figured I'd mention it.
