There was recently a green arrow light added to the middle lane. The middle lane also has an option to go straight across into the VA hospital. When the green arrows came on, I was in the middle lane headed straight across to the hospital. I stayed still and didn’t accelerate because I was going straight, not turning left. There was a bunch of beeping behind me and when I wasn’t moving people got out of the lane and drove around me, one came around on the right and crossed over me, and the others came around the left, ultimately using the actual designated left turning lane that has always had the green arrow. This is concerning because the green arrow says go, but if you don’t need to turn, and straight is where you need to go, this could cause more wrecks and this is already a place where wrecks happen. Could a sign for straight/turn be put up over the light in the middle so people in the middle lane know it’s not a mandatory left turn lane, and to get into the left lane? The beeping shouldn’t be happening. There’s not clear enough instruction as to what lane is what...there’s no signage, just lights. Thank you!
