Street Safety Concern AcknowledgedEagle Ave & Mulberry St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaThe intersection of Mulberry and Eagle is dangerous. I've seen multiple drivers cut the corner while turning left, which will eventually lead to a serious collision. I think the city should stripe the street and include reflectors to guide drivers at night.

Street Safety Concern AcknowledgedHarbor Bay Pkwy & Ron Cowan Pkwy Alameda, CA, 94502, USA - AlamedaI am requesting the city install some stop here on red signs at this intersection. It is annoying when drivers stop over the crosswalk when the light turns red because then bikers have to carry their bikes over the pedestrian island because the crosswalk is blocked. I am hoping to see stop here on red signs at both the straight lane going onto Ron Cowan Pkwy and the left turn lane turning onto Harbor Bay Pkwy.

Street Safety Concern AcknowledgedIsland Dr & Robert Davey Jr Dr Alameda, CA, 94502, USA - AlamedaPedestrian or Bicycle Access Issues: Can the city install one of those no right turn blank out signs at this intersection at both of the lights? Drivers turning right do not yield to anyone crossing when they have the green walking guy. There are a lot of middle and high school kids that bike to school everyday and I have even seen close calls with them at this intersection. One day someone going to school will be hit by a car.

Street Safety Concern Acknowledged2101-2133 Encinal Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaSpeeding down Encinal continues to be a problem, cars and trucks routinely well over the 25 mph limit racing for the traffic lights. Does the city have any plan for monitoring, patrolling or calming measures?

Street Safety Concern AcknowledgedEncinal Ave & Fernside Blvd Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaThe intersection of Encinal and Fernside needs a roundabout. The intersection is like a raceway at times and bumper to bumper traffic at others. People speed up to make the light which is right next to a school and some drivers pass on the right when traffic is slow or even go through the red light. This is the fastest part of Fernside which is right next to a school. A roundabout would drastically reduce the speed in this area while also easing traffic congestion and improving safety for people walking and riding.

Street Safety Concern AcknowledgedHigh St & Liberty Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaYet again, this evening we are witness to another traffic accident on high Street. The speed of cars going to high Street is simply too fast for our neighborhood. Please add Speed bumps, traffic lights, or simply more police officers to enforce the speed limit. I’m sure you could pay for the entire departments annual budget simply with speeding tickets along high Street.

Street Safety Concern Acknowledged2101-2199 Eagle Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaI live at the Mulberry development on Eagle Ave. Of the 56 or so new units, almost every family here has children under age 10. The street basically dead-ends at Eagle and Mulberry; however, people routinely speed down our street in excess of 60 mph. Things came to a head last weekend when a speeding car fish-tailed at the corner and crashed into a couple of cars and a boat, luckily no one in the apts. at the corner we’re hurt. I have several videos of the incident. Please install some speed bumps on Eagle between Willow and Mulberry. These incidents have been worse with all of the detours and construction on Clement. We’re getting a lot of the bypass traffic.

Street Safety Concern Acknowledged635 Taylor Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaEver since Webster switched to one lane each direction, cars race down Taylor if the light is red on Central to bypass that intersection A kid is gonna die at this point with the amount of traffic blazing through this block

Street Safety Concern Acknowledged1510-1598 Morton St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - Alameda1500 block of Morton Street, traffic calming: I'd also like to suggest you take a look at Morton Street holistically, i.e. to slow traffic and create more parking by creating one-way traffic and 60-degree parking slots. This could potentially add 30% more parking spaces, provide planting islands, as well as 'loading zones' that the neighborhood could collectively locate thier refuse containers for pick up.
Additional considerations could be meters for non-residence (parking permits for residents) and/or metered loading zones.

Street Safety Concern Acknowledged717-799 Haight Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - Alameda
The pandemic, and possibly the addition of Main Street Supply, have caused people to drive much faster down Haight Avenue between Webster and 8th Street. Myself and several neighbors would appreciate the addition of a speed hump on our street for the safety of our children who play out front and the many cyclists who ride through the neighborhood.
Please let me know how to move forward with this request. I am happy to get a petition signed by neighbors on Haight Avenue, if needed.

Street Safety Concern AcknowledgedGainsborough Ct & Sea View Pkwy Alameda, CA, 94502, USA - AlamedaSea View Parkway is becoming a dangerous street, particularly from Sheffield to Auginbaugh. Vehicles routinely speed well above the 25mph speed limit. This area has several marked cross walks and is used heavily by pedestrians that access Shoreline Park and the adjacent bike path.
We propose installing speed bumps along this street to minimize speeding.

Street Safety Concern Acknowledged3201-3299 Sterling Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaCars will often proceed at reckless speeds down Sterling Ave, I believe as a throughway from Sterling to High or vice versa. Our street is narrow, our sidewalks are narrow, and our front yards are shallow, making the increased speeds that much more dangerous for families with small kids as the distance from the front yard or side yard to the street is very small. We would be forever grateful is the city of Alameda would consider installing speed bumps or humps to our street which T's off into 2 much busier streets in order to slow the flow of traffic. Streets are for everyone, so we're not trying to restrict the use of Sterling as a passthrough... we just want folks to drive through at the speed limit. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!

Street Safety Concern Acknowledged2133 Clinton Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaI want to request to have speed bumps put on Clinton Ave between Willow and Walnut. I would like to know how I can go about getting this accomplished. I just recently lost my cat from getting hit by a car. Cars speed up and down this road at all hours of the day or night. We have lots of children in our neighborhood that could get hit by the reckless drivers! I have come close to being hit and this needs to stop.

Street Safety Concern AcknowledgedMozart St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaAs a Long time resident of Mozart Street, I regularly see vehicles use it as a Thruway between Lincoln and Santa Clara. Every day countless vehicles speed down our tiny residential street exceeding 40 mph. We have plenty of children who play on the street and plenty of elderly residents who cross very slowly. There have been various close calls at all hours of the day and night. Last year my parked car was totaled when a speeding vehicle clipped it and then ran. Please please please consider options to calm traffic on this tiny street as it will save lives and protect the safety of residents of Alameda.
