Bus shelter needed! Archived746 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06510, USA - 770 Chapel BigLacking a bus shelter, people waiting for the bus are now gathering in front of the two doors of 746 Chapel, creating a hazard. In the past two days, I've had two collisions, one of which resulted in having a hot cup of coffee spilled on me. Ouch! Let's get this fixed before someone really gets hurt.

Broken glass in street Archived136 Oxford Rd Milford, CT 06460, USA - MilfordI got a flat while cycling. Normally one can avoid glass by moving out into the lane. However, this becomes difficult in one particular situation: on a busy street, on an incline. Taking the lane to avoid hazards is only safe when a cyclist is close to matching the speed of cars. The incline increases the gap in speed between us and them, obviously. Perfect storm.

Massive tree limb collapse Archived925 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06510, USA - Town_GreenA very large limb from this mostly dead tree just fell and crashed on the ground, just a few feet from me when I was walking by. There are more dead portions of the tree above, so this is an active hazard.

641-699 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Wooster SquareComing from downtown towards Wooster Square, Chapel Street narrows from two lanes into one after Olive Street. Unfortunately, neither lane is marked as a turning- or through-lane, causing awkard (if not dangerous) merges! Two possible solutions:
1) Mark the left lane as left-turns only, and the right lane as right turns and straight permitted, or
2) Mark the left lane as left turns and straight permitted, and the right lane as right turns only. -
Crosswalk needed Archived132 Whitney Ave New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Yale University CampusBradley St. is a primary connector for pedestrians traveling from the Orange and State St. neighborhoods to the Yale campus and Downtown New Haven. People cross here illegally every day, rather than going the longer route of crossing down at Trumbull St. As a side bonus, a crosswalk might also be a nice traffic calming device on such a high speed corridor as Whitney Ave.

Bike rack request Archived769-793 Orange St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - East RockBicycles are consistently locked to the 4 sign posts on this corner. There is currently one bike rack, but such a busy neighborhood market as Romeo & Cesare's needs more capacity. Not to mention, the single rack seems to be poorly positioned, a theme in New Haven.

Poor bike rack design & placement Archived603 Orange St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Bishop-HineParallel parking cars come inches from hitting locked bicycles here daily! The rack requires bicycles I be positioned perpendicular to street & sidewalk. This results in wheels that protrude to edge of street, and occasionally obstruct sidewalk.

Large pile of broken glass in road! Archived681 Ridge Rd Hamden, CT 06517, USA - Hamden
A ~6-ft x 2-ft spill of broken glass on the road shoulder has been here for nearly 2 months! It looks like an entire front or rear car window/windshield (vs. a smaller door window), as this is a ton of glass.
Town of Hamden, is this thing on? [tap tap] Testing...mic check, 1-2, 1-2.

Giant Pothole ArchivedI would have crashed hard if I hit this "tank trap" of a pothole, on my bicycle this evening.
