Private contractor left main street half blocked with heavy equipment over the weekend without adequate signage to direct traffic. It seems a few projects are going unchecked and unregulated by our tax payer funded city inspectors. This is an unacceptable hazard in the historic district.

private contractor abandons sidewalk after tearing it up to run fiber optics. Seems very strange to me that the city would allow this public sidewalk to be a hazard for over 2 weeks. No contractors have been seen working on this since they tore it up 2 weeks ago. It is two days till the biggest Festival in St Charles occurs with 50,000 people walking down that sidewalk. I don't know who owns the adjacent building to the site but, I would think they would be very upset that this is allowed in our otherwise fine City.

Piles of wooden pallets, trash and debris cover the front parking lot of this business at the intersection of Main Street and S. River Road across from Streets of St. Charles.
  • 2-12 First Capitol Drive Saint Charles, Missouri - St. Charles
Giant flags that reach from the ground up to 15 feet in the air have been placed next to the pedestrian crosswalks making an already dangerous intersection that much more of a hazard to festival-goers and park users. The large Flags make it very hard to see people crossing the streets. They also glorify drug use in our fine park. Yes alcohol is a drug. It appears the festival also will be running to 11 p.m. on Sunday night furthermore tarnishing the character of our historic neighborhoods.

Why are these huge semi's allowed on our collapsing street. I can understand businesses on the west side of the street taking their deliveries on main but, there's absolutely no reason for businesses on the east side of the street to do this. There is a separate drive thru off of riverside that is perfect for deliveries. Not only are these trucks blocking traffic, the are doing millions of dollars in damages to the streets and sewer systems below. ENOUGH all ready .

This modern surveillance fixture looks highly inappropriate and is against historic guidelines. At least paint it black and why would you need both a fixed and remote controlled camera in the same spot right above the sidewalk?

Somebody abandoned a derelict construction trailer in Frontier Park. Huge rust stains. dilapidated screen door hanging open. Outdated registration and no wheel skirting. This was left in front of the beautiful and newly refinished Katy Depot. A real eyesore for anyone visiting the wildly popular Festival of the Little Hills in one week.
