We stay within the city of Sterling Heights codes as the city states.
We like to dress it- per holiday but lately there are some that don't like our Skelly and like to call us 'childish' and 'clueless idiots' and say it's 'stupid' and it looked 'stupid' even during HALLOWEEN!
Just wanted to let everyone know- I am outside in front most days- 2pm-9pm and please come and speak to me if you don't like him. We understand it's not for EVERYONE. But it's for 'us'
We worked really hard to own our own home, have a child that's goes to Bemis and have asked our close proximity neighbors if they mind him.
Please know we are not trying to 'offend' anyone, but it is our property, just like most of you who have lawn decor- holiday decorations- maybe things we don't personally 'love' but we respect the fact that it's YOUR home, not ours. Be yourself, I teach my son- be true to you.
And these are really hard to buy- We did wait almost 3 years to find one.Please come talk to me if there is any issue. My name is Nicole- I have headphones on my head a lot of the time that I'm outside but just wave- say hi. Let's talk!

Sterling Heights, you said, 4/1/2024 was the start for yard waste pickup. My street and the surrounding streets are lined with yard waste bags. Is someone coming? Do we pull them backup to yard? -

Since Tamarack has been opened all the way from Fox Hill to Metro Pkwy, Tamarack has become a drag strip. Cars utilize Tamarack to bypass construction and traffic lights on Mound. Since the city appears to be adverse to installing speed bumps, can stops signs be installed at the corner of Noll and Tamarack as well as Paris and Tamarack? Both Paris and Noll dead end into Tamarack and there are no stop signs at either intersection. Stop signs would serve two purposes - one is to slow the traffic on Tamarack and second is to make the intersections safer as no one comes to a complete stop at the intersections if Noll and Paris. 5495 Gardner St E Sterling Heights, Michigan, 48310 - Sterling HeightsThis is in regards to an inquiry I wrote on 6/21/23 about what the city plans to do about our gravel road on Gardner St E. Brent Bashaw replied with a nice reply that I would receive a response in 2 to 4 weeks. Now it's 6 weeks with no response. So me and many of the neighbors want to hear about the progress on this matter.

There has been schedule delays due to COVID, Mound Road construction, etc. but we are committed to completing this project. The design has been completed and our consultants directed to supply a final schedule for project completion. You will receive information in the next 2-4 weeks on the project moving forward and planned meeting.

Unfortunately my barrels would sit in the garage in the winter or when weather is bad. And by the way, these barrels do fall down in the streets. See it all the time. As a senior with walking difficulties, I would be resorted to having my son take my trash to his city. In the winter, the barrels would be in the garage. My car is on driveway and there is not enough room. In the winter, I usually only have half my driveway cleared on snow due to the cost. Can't get in the garage in winter. I feel the city should have sent out requests for people to decline or accept. Since we in the city have to do what the city council has decided, maybe you should tell the other states to do the same. Since Michigan accepts other states trash as well as Canada's. Becoming more and more disappointed with what is happening in the city and our government approving it. The only recourse we have is our vote.

If I'm going towards Utica road I cannot make a left hand turn into any of the neighborhood streets without breaking traffic laws. Why was the middle lane removed ? Why do the lines narrow down coming up to Schoenherr road to only one lane so people turning right going south on Schoenherr have to wait for the light to turn green if someone is going straight. None of the new painting on the lines makes any sense. Is there any city official that can explain what the choices were for this? I know I was not contacted about it and I've lived here on Beecher for 60 years.

Every year a complaint is made and yet they still do nothing about it. It's been days since the first snow of this year and they still have yet to do anything about it. The snow has ice under it. Someone is going to get hurt.
