Downtown Saratoga

Notificado sobre

  • 115 Ballston Avenue - Saratoga Springs
This intersection is a death trap at all hours of the day and night, its bad under perfect conditions but what makes it dangerous is so many motorists don't use their directional signals. NEED TRAFFIC LIGHT HERE!
  • 30 Circular St Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, USA - Saratoga Springs
The meeting of Park, Circular, Whitney Place. Cars play chicken with right-of-way.
  • 14-20 Circular St Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, USA - Saratoga Springs
Horrible 4 way stop set up. Everyone just goes whenever they want. There's a lot of distance between the intersecting roads so drivers feel they can just go instead of following turn system of usual 4 way stop.
  • Broadway And Congress St Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, USA - Saratoga Springs
When southbound on Broadway the street merges into one lane at Congress St. There is no warning to the motorists on Broadway that the lanes merge. This causes confusion and traffic right-of-way issues, especially given the large influx of tourists in Saratoga. Since the left lane merges into the right I would suggest a merge sign highly visible to the traffic in the left lane just south of Spring St.
  • Lake Avenue And Broadway Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, USA - Saratoga Springs
left turn arrows are needed at this intersection. It is often impossible to make a left turn before the light changes on busy Broadway.
  • East Side Rec Saratoga springs, NY - Saratoga Springs
The skateboard bowl is filled with dirt so I can't exercise in it.

Broadway & Washington St.Aratoga Springs NY 12866, USA - Saratoga Springs
There is a left turn arrow from B'way onto Washington St. Please activate it.
  • 9 Caroline St Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, USA - Saratoga Springs
Is this the image we really want for our downtown. People going around with shoping carts downtown picking out bottles from the garbage. I know people pay a lot for rent for the store fronts. Maybe, something can be done.
  • 71-81 Division St Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, USA - Saratoga Springs
The intersection at Division and Clinton St. by Franklin Square is a pedestrian nightmare with a blind corner and no crosswalk. On November 26th, 2012,, there was a 2 car accident at this very corner. At the very least, a lined crosswalk needs to be installed at the Clinton Street intersection, which is a major pedestrian thoroughfare from the Westside headed downtown.
  • Marion Ave. & Rt. 50 - Saratoga Springs
How about changing the timing of the light at Rt. 50 and Marion Ave so more than 5 cars can make it through the green light going north and eliminate the problem of cars backing up all the way to Excelsior Ave and around the corner. Sometimes I sit through 5 green lights before I can make it across Rt. 50!
  • 395 Broadway Saratoga Springs, NY - Saratoga Springs
After YEARS of this being an issue, why aren't there left turn arrow s on ALL of Broadway's intersecting streets? If you want to turn left, you sometimes have to wait through 2-3 green lights before the traffic is light enough to be able to turn safely. How HARD would it be to put these arrows in place??
  • 30 Circular Street Saratoga Springs, NY - Saratoga Springs
There are several key intersections throughout the city that could benefit from signs installed ON THE STREETS/IN THE CROSSWALKS that remind drivers of the state law requiring them to yield to pedestrians. Such signs have been successfully installed on Glens Falls' Glen Street/downtown, which is a much more pedestrian-friendly city than ours, where drivers willingly yield, even to pedestrians not in crosswalk areas. I try to walk to/from work each day, and cross several busy spots where drivers have no regard for walkers/bikers: At Park Place/Circular St/Whitney Place; at Union Ave and Regent St; at Congress Park and Spring and Henry Streets...to name just a few. For quality of life, to encourage more walkers/bikers and fewer cars downtown...PLEASE help to create a downtown that is safer for and friendlier to us!
