Notified About

  • New Jersey Ave Se & K St Se 20003 - Capitol Hill
The intersection of K St SE and New Jersey Ave SE needs to have stop signs in all directions. Currently, traffic on NJ Ave doesn't stop and vehicles frequently speed through the intersection due to the wide lanes. Also, lack of parking restrictions close to the intersection limit visibility for vehicles turning or crossing from K St. Furthermore, crosswalk lines are faded and/or nonexistent, presenting a danger to pedestrians. Please add stop signs and repaint the crosswalk lines!
  • 50-98 K Street Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
Tour buses parked at metered car spaces. This is illegal. Commercial bus parked at meter!
  • 1100-1198 Half Street Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
    Only one sign is correct
  • Cushing St Se Washington DC, DC - Capitol Hill

Street signs on Cushing St SE (near L St SE) indicate one must pay for parking M-Sa. The meter on one side has a flimsy orange sticker that says M-Sa but on the street side of the meter there is a green sticker that indicates M-F.

So what is right? M-Sa or M-F?

909 New Jersey Ave Se Washington, District of Columbia - Capitol Hill
There needs to be signs indicating that parking is required during Nationals games on Sundays. Last Sunday almost every car New Jersey Ave SE had a parking ticket. If you are going to charge for parking on a Sunday, and at increased rates, it's only fair to make it known.
  • 1000 New Jersey Avenue Southeast Washington, District of Columbia - Capitol Hill
Residents of the new Capital Riverfront community REQUIRE Zone 6 parking permits. We are currently registered as "No RPP"--No Residential Parking Permit--yet we are TAXPAYERS and HOMEOWNERS in the District of Columbia. I understand the effort to make the new riverfront community a "walkable and public transportation-friendly" place but that doesn't work for everyone and in any event we should have the right as residents to park on the street in our zone in the district. Zoning our area as commercial to accommodate the exorbitant fees the Nationals charge for parking simply isn't fair. In fact, it's highway robbery for those of us who live in this community.
  • 801-909 New Jersey Avenue Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
Parking enforcement vehicle illegally parked in crosswalk
  • 901-999 First Street Southeast Washington, District of Columbia - Capitol Hill
Stop signs in the middle of the road in both directions along First at intersection of K St along with Yield to Pedestrian needs replacing. They were knocked down a few weeks ago and never replaced. Circulator Bus parks directly in front of stop sign along First St SE thus blocking the view of the stop signs on the side of the road to oncoming traffic.
  • 1025 First Street Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
Cars use 1st St SE as cut-through to bypass S Cap traffic and during Nats games, frequently exceed speed limit and ignore stop signs. 4-lane section especially hazardous to pedestrians and is not consistent with residential neighborhood character. Speed table, street narrowing, or other traffic calming near 1st/L needed to improve safety.
  • 100 K Street Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
A-1 auto services blocks public sidewalk with cars under repair on a daily basis during business hours.
  • 49-99 K Street Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
Companies leaving dumpsters on metered streets. This is illegal.
  • 1000-1098 Half Street Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
