Notified About

  • 3401 East West Highway Hyattsville, MD, 20782, USA - Ward 3
This garage is located in a residential district and lacks appropriate sound proofing to motivate the noise coming from the garage. You can hear people screaming, loud exhausts and various other sounds 24/7. Please request that the apartment building restructure the garage to decrease the noise.
  • East-West Hwy & Toledo Ter Hyattsville, MD, 20782, USA - Ward 3
Crosswalk sign needed at Southernmost point of intersection at Toledo Terrace and East-West Highway. Pedestrians crossing Toledo Terrace from the Eastbound side of East West Highway have to rely on traffic lights to cross.
  • 6206 Enquirer Street Hyattsville, MD, 20782, USA - Ward 3
Last night (Friday, November 6, 2020), as well as on other occasions, people on ATVs have been speeding / racing on Sentinel St. between Toledo Terrace and Editors Park Drive. Needless to say this is incredibly dangerous. It would be much appreciated if the city would install speed humps. Conduct a study if need be, but please make Sentinel safer for Hyattsville residents.
  • Journal St Hyattsville MD 20782, United States - Ward 3
Every school day at around 4:00pm vehicles enter the Editor's Park community waiting for pick up at Nicholas Orem Middle school at 6100 Editor's Park Drive. Our community needs police to intervene on Journal St and Sentinel Drive at the intersection of Editor's Park Drive, during the 4:00pm to 4:30pm Monday - Friday. There are a caravan of vehicles blocking residents of our community from entering and exiting as well as vehicles blocking our cars within our driveways.
  • 3401 East-West Hwy E Hyattsville MD 20782, United States - Ward 3

Another full size Penske truck parked on Sentinel for well over 30 minutes unloading at the Edition.

When will the Edition manage their move ins and move outs without compromising community safety on a narrow street with bicycles, pets, and children? They are an apartment business literally in the business of dealing with move ins and move outs so this should not be hard. They control hundreds of parking spaces and a line of future resident spots on Editors Park Drive which could easily accommodate larger vehicles while still leaving multiple designated future resident spots in their parking structure.

Creating a dangerous situation is NOT their only solution!

  • East-West Hwy Hyattsville, MD, 20782, USA - Ward 3
There’s been two car accidents in the last 10 days (several over the past few years) as a consequence of no traffic or pedestrian signals on East West Highway and Toledo Terrace. This is a new community development with plenty of pedestrians. The sign has been knocked down and car debris remains on the road making it dangerous for both pedestrians and drivers! Can you please replace the sign and also place better traffic signals (speed cameras, pedestrian signals, etc.) for pedestrians. It’s very dangerous since drivers speed through the area all of the time.
  • 3449–3499 Sentinel Dr Hyattsville MD 20782, United States - Ward 3
Extremely dangerous conditions for hours caused by the Edition's vehicles - moving truck, Restoration truck parked several feet from the curb, and second truck parked behind the moving truck. Why does this business refuse to use its loading dock for the vehicles that service it? Unclear which vehicle was there first but moving truck and Arity Services vehicles should be ticketed for overstaying and proximity to intersections, and restoration vehicle should be ticketed for parallel parking too far from the curb. Editors Park features narrow streets and sidewalks with children, pets, etc. Someone will get hurt if the city does not encourage the Edition to take responsibility for its vendors!
  • 5910 40th Ave Hyattsville MD 20782, United States - Ward 3
Drivers ignore the stop signs at 40th and Oglethorpe from all directions. It has become a major safety issue for everyone, adults and kids, walking in this area because drivers do not stop.
  • Pet Waste Archived
    6500 America Boulevard Hyattsville, Maryland, 20782 - Ward 3
I am a resident of University Town Center and the amount of dog waste in the neighborhood has become a disgusting health hazard. My dog has been sick twice due to interactions he's had on walks in and around the neighborhood. The management company does nothing about cleaning up after people who don't pick up their waste in the public areas. They installed waste facilities and they are not emptied in a timely manner or restocked with waste bags. Is there anyway for you all to address this with the management company who owns the public spaces and green spaces in this town center?
  • 3111 Sentinel Dr Hyattsville MD 20782, United States - Ward 3
Commercial vehicle parked in residential zone. This is an on-going issue. Please patrol and ticket daily.

6209 Herald St Hyattsville MD 20782, United States - Ward 3
I have video footage captured on my doorbell camera of this woman from the Edition Apartments allowing her dog to defecate and not picking up after her pet. How do I report and provide video evidence?
  • 6000 41st Ave Hyattsville MD 20782, United States - Ward 3
Painted crosswalks are needed at intersection of 41st ave and Oglethorpe Motorists routinely ignore stop signs, and this is a high traffic intersection for pedestrians navigating btw Queens Chapel and Route 1 There is also a key Metro bus line, adding additional vehicle strike risk to pedestrians
