Alligator Dr & Tarpon Rd Venice, Florida, 34293 - South Venice
This is a very dangerous curve. People are constantly speeding and committing road rage. They end up in the ditches, they take out our mailboxes with their vehicles. All residents and police officers are aware of this situation. We would like to request either speed bumps here or to take out the curve in the road and make this a 4-way-stop intersection.

Loyola Rd Venice, FL, 34293, USA - South Venice
There is an urgent need for speed bumps (speed breakers) on Loyola Rd due to the increase of vehicles driving at a higher speed. The neighbors of Loyola Rd are extremely concerned about the danger to pedestrians. This is a residential area in which most of us take walks, ride bicycles, walk pets, etc. The speed bumps will be of great safety for all residents. Loyola Road has constant high traffic coming from Osceola Rd, Purdue Rd, and Miami Rd to Loyola Rd as the only and fastest option for all those residents and contractors coming and exiting to access 776. The issue is urgent.

Please replace the chain locking system with a more secure latch which will eliminate the possibility of there being a wide gap in the maintenance gate at the south end of the Woodmere Dog Park. My friend's dog has escaped twice, and I have heard it's happened to other dogs. I have attached a photo of a heavy duty latch designed for double gates that should fix the problem. Maker and model number are on the photo. Thanks.

Fully operating a commercial business from residential home (A Branch Above Tree Service). Operates heavy equipment evenings and weekends; Wood chippers, chainsaws, beeping dump trucks burning debris all day and very early/ late (early as 6am and late as 10). Equipment is parked on the property in back behind the fence, on side of the garage, in the front yard and along roadway on public ROW. Very recently (within a 3 months) I believe there was a car accident when a neighbor hit one of his black trucks parked in the ROW in the dark! Traffic often has to stop and wait in the road as he moves his trucks around to fit them all on his property. That block of Baffin and Acadia has turned into a commercial business section especially for landscapers. I think there are 4 landscape companies there and one food truck. I did not choose to live on a street parallel to 41 due to commercial butting up to residential homes. Homes are much cheaper when they are on a highway or near commercial business districts and residents here pay more to be in a residential area like this. Please require/enforce landscape and other businesses to be operated in commercial areas. I see there is no business address listed for this company on Google, no brick and mortar building provided. This seems to be entirely operated from this address when profits should be used to secure appropriate storage/a business front. Please find out where his actual business is suppose to be located, verify that address and find if there any equipment on site there? This has been going on for years.

When my recycling pickup was made this morning (12/11), I came out to find my bin with a completely broken lid. As I am not responsible for this damage, the county should issue me another bin and perhaps look into whom was operating the vehicle on my route today. Side note: I tried to report through the app, but it would not allow description field to be filled in and I cannot send w/o description

  • 4780 Neptune Rd Venice, FL, 34293, USA - South Venice

Grass hasn't been cut for a year at least as it seems at the address 4780 Neptune Rd, Venice, FL 34293. Grass with weeds is higher than 2-3 feet and front yard looks like a dump (black garbage container full of spilled stuff is lying on its side by the curb). This property is an eye sore!
I live across the street from this house and own my house since 2014. I can't be silent anymore about this issue.
I decided to sell my house. It is on the market for quite a while, but all potential buyers are disgusted with the look of the neglected property across the road and complain about neglected appearance of the front yard with uncut overgrown grass with a lot of bush-like weeds.
Imagine, how many potential buyers refuse making offers based on ugly appearance of the neglected property across the road, belonging to 'human pigs' (as they say).

And imagine, how many people will have the values of their property decreased in the buyers' offers based on the horrible appearance of the neglected property.

We didn't see the owners of the neglected property for a while.
Please, send someone ASAP today, September 8, 2020 to cut the grass of the neglected property and then send a bill to the owner. I can't wait any longer.
I don't want to lose potential buyers of my house because of this neglected property.

The end of my my driveway is deteriorating badly. I was told by a friend that the area from the middle of my culvert to the street is county property. If this is true, could someone please come out and inspect this for a possible repair? Thank you,

  • Tamiami Trl S & E Baffin Rd Venice, FL, 34293, USA - South Venice
In the South Venice community majority of homes (about 60-60%) are continuing to have a lot of stagnant water that has not dissipated over the course of at least two months. Multiple home owners have taken to shoveling and pumping water out of these ditches that aren’t even on their property. All of this water is causing multiple areas to develop ground depressions, asphalt to separate, and/or driveways to crack and sink.
Common sense and history reflects the ground can only handle so much weight/ water for a period of time before it starts to collapse.
There is concern that sink holes are and will develop from all of this water sitting in the ditches going along side the length of the roads. Majority of the ditches/ culverts have had water sitting for long that lily pads and other brush has developed. Almost like marsh land. Which can deceive one, cause you don’t see all the water sitting below the lily pads.
On some streets, the stagnant water has high bacteria growth with algae blooms!
High areas of concern are Rallus St, Alphabet Streets (Linden St thru Olympia Rd), and Datura St thru Shamrock Rd. That entire grid.
I have pictures time stamped beginning 2 months ago thru present of different locations showing the lack of progress with water levels not resending from the ditches and the eco changes from bacteria growth with ground depressions beginning.
This is a serious concern, all of this is becoming a public safety hazard.
