Description

1-800-GOT-JUNK has placed a large plastic advertising sign right next to the road at the park entrance (the Salmon Hole parking lot). They seem to believe Burlington's parks and roadsides are for their advertising use, not realizing (or caring) that most of us consider their signs to be roadside trash and an eyesore. I also removed several of their signs yesterday on Rt 127 in Burlington, but they keep popping up faster than I can remove them.

Could Code Enforcement and/or the Police Department give 1-800-GOT-JUNK's owner a call and let them know that placing their advertising signs on our roadways is illegal and unacceptable behavior in our community? They might need firmer reinforcement than some other code offenders, since they leave this litter all over the county after being told REPEATEDLY by multiple town officials that it's not OK.

Thank you.
