The completion of these sidewalk sections has been incomplete for months. What is the hold up?

The retaining wall of my property at 8 Murray Hill Road has become significantly damaged during the road work and sidewalk work occurring over the past 2 months. The major cracks were not present prior to the jack hammering and construction activities and require repair.

I've received a quote for the repairs, totaling $10,000. Photographs from before the construction began show that the wall did not have these significant cracks (see attached photograph).

Concerned about the newly traced lines on main street preparing itself for street painting. The traced lines indicate that there will be a bike lane on both sides? This eliminates parking on the even side and several cuts off parking on the odd side. Parking that is absolutely needed on Main Street. Please confirm.

The street crossing at the intersection of Jackson and Exchange has not been reconfigured to accommodate the handicapped. The recent work has not restored beveled sidewalk pathways for pedestrians crossing Exchange St. near the Jackson Street Garage.

Any plans for bike lane street markings to reinforce the signs on this stretch of Commercial?

Since this is a semi-busy intersection in a school zone, it would be wonderful if the traffic lights here could be updated. One issue is (facing towards Pleasant) you cannot see the light as a pedestrian-- and the light on the other side of the intersection is hooded so you cannot see the light there, either. In addition, the pedestrian crossing signal available on the other side of the street gives you the old fashioned yellow and red light. Most people do not know what this means anymore, and so many times someone calls for the walk signal and then stands there waiting when the light changes to the yellow and red crossing signal. We really need a more modern light and crossing signal with countdown--especially when the kids are getting out of school.

Our taxes should be used to repair the awful road conditions on this HEAVILY traveled road mostly between Glenmere Ave and Salem St.

Cracks, potholes, humps, dips, utility covers sunken down too far as well as broken ones. We’re taxed so many ways to drive on these roads that are in disrepair.

Eastern Ave & Centre streets are also just as bad. How can anyone think that these two MAIN roads which are heavily traveled is in passable condition for motorists to be driving on with causing drastic wear and tear on our vehicles. Times are tough and we all can’t afford to be repairing or replacing our vehicles that we are also taxed on. Fix it and stop brushing it off like there isn’t any issue here!
