  • School bus stop Acknowledged
298 Brook Street Hamden, CT 06514, United States of America - Hamden
Kids that stand at this bus stop at 615am cannot be seen by oncoming drivers. This intersection is very dark.
  • 289 Pine Rock Ave Hamden, CT 06514, USA - Hamden
Why is the parking lot by the playground and field on pine rock completely dark? There are always several cars sitting there in the dark with running lights on. There are no street lights right there either - Isn't that a safety concern?
  • 123-145 Arch St Hamden, CT, 06514, USA - Hamden
On Arch St the whole strip is full of tires, trash and other things people have used this strip for a dumping site.
  • Blight - GeneralAcknowledged
1671 Whitney Ave (Parking Lot Next To Mobil Station) Hamden, Connecticut - Hamden
Spring Glen municipal parking lot (rear) has bags of trash/garbage, old rugs, empty bottles and trash scattered in the weeds and on the parking area. There are also two (apparently) abandoned cars, Subaru and Toyota pickup. The pickup has been there for a very long time and has an orange tag.
  • General IssuesAcknowledged
2900 Dixwell Ave Hamden 06518, United States - Hamden
Non electric vehicles (like this one) are often parked in the only EV spot (other than a handicap space) in the lot. I have reported it repeatedly to the police department and it has almost always been someone working for the department. Since there are no statutes governing parking in an EV parking space, there is nothing the police department can do. The town of Hamden should consider an ordinance to allow police enforcement of posted parking restrictions on EV parking spots. Also, it doesn’t make sense to have one of the only two EV spots restricted to handicap parking. I have never seen a vehicle parked there.
  • Bassett Park 640 Ridge Rd, Hamden, CT 06517, USA - Spring Glen
Broken plastic at the playground has very sharp edges and is inviting to small children wanting to stick their arms in
  • Low utility wiresAcknowledged
687 Ridge Road HAmden, ct - Hamden
The utility pole across the street recently started leaning, causing our utility wires to hang very low. A delivery truck today nearly took them out in our driveway - the wires were hanging low enough to get caught on the corner of their truck. These are cable/phone.
  • Fenway Drive Hamden, Connecticut - Hamden
Is there a Hamden ordinance about these companies dumping off free newspapers in the driveway? So many neighbors of mine don't pick them up. Turning them all into litter.
  • General IssuesAcknowledged
Mix Ave Hamden, Connecticut - Hamden
Add lights on existing electric poles on Mix ave to brighten the street and avoid accidents. Some poles have no street lights and some have them.
Especially the busy stretch from Skiff cross section on Mix ave till Benham cross section, needs more lights.. Thank You.
  • Blight - GeneralAcknowledged
165 Fairview Ave Hamden 06514, United States - Hamden
Some dumping, but biggest problem is major overgrowth of shrubs and other vegetation growing into street in the side of home on first street. Requesting inspection and enforcement please.

I wont know what is the mayors office doing about the Increase in gunfire in the lower end of Hamden I have lived on Dix st since 1996 we own a single and a multi family home on the st. These home consist of my 66 year old mother my two sibling and my 1 year old nephew. In my home its myself my husband my daughter and 9 year old grandson. For the past year there has been random shootings on and around Dix St one of the shootings envolved my house having a bullet coming through the window thank god no one was home. This last shooting was today and someone on a motorcycle was shooting on 1st st and my grandson had just gotten home from school. We are terrified and afraid for him to go out and play with his friends I raised my girls on this street and it was wonderful we are tax payers and I often think about selling our homes and moving to neighborhood that ares about all of its residents not just the better part of Hamden. We are at work worried daily because we just do not know what we are going to come home to its a terrible feeling

Extremely worried and concerned about my neighborhood
