Sammamish, WA PLUS

In 2015 we had a serious drought and the water level in Pine Lake dropped significantly. I've been a volunteer monitor for Pine Lake since I moved here in 1992. After we became a city in 2000 I inquired about the number of houses on the lake that are grandfathered into being able to pimp lake water to water their lawns, etc. The ciy official was surprised - he'd never looked for the information before, but it was well over 30 properties. It would be a good idea, I think, to disallow this provision when a lakefront property is next sold.

I ran across this while cleaning up the area. This grate was (is) overgrown and against a bank which is allowing dirt to enter it. Water from the street was no longer entering this drain and is just running down the street. Just wondering if this is something you are interested in reviewing or cleaning etc.

"We spoke a few months ago. I told you that there was blockage of water from the Brookshire pond, and you said you sent maintenance over, and they said there's no problem. Well, actually, there are lots of beavers there. I had them taken off my property, but now there's another dam at the sound end of the Brookshire pond. It's still blocking water. It won't go down. It's still going over my driveway. Also, the exit culvert for the pond was over 90% blocked. I removed that. It took me a few hours, but I removed that and it didn't get the water down, because upstream there's still a beaver dam. So would you please get back to me. I'm really having a hard time."

There is a lot on the east side of 210th Ave that has been under construction for several years. It doesn't look like construction is actively taking place. This vacant lot poses a danger to children in the neighborhood (I have seen kids climbing in the partially poured foundation); causes water runoff issues; and is an eyesore for our neighborhood. I would like to know if there are options for compelling the owner/builder to finish the construction or restore the lot to its prior condition.

Caller is concerned about drainage pipe and runoff on their property. Stormwater drains to and fills the ravine to the west of their house. It is causing concern for increased potential of a landslide. Would like someone to visit to discuss. Would prefer a phone call to coordinate a site visit.

Stormwater from my neighbor's asphalt area/driveway in front of his garage pours over the property line into my backyard. This asphalt area clearly slopes to my property. There is a drainage catch near the edge of the asphalt but it is not adequate to divert all the stormwater from the asphalt.

City's Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for Louis Thomson Road SURVEY-ing dug in roadside ditch, placed "marker(s)" and left a pile of loose sandy, erosive soil. With just initial rains, this activity has ignored the existing and necessary roadside ditch and sandy-erosive soils in/near Landslide Hazard area. Already there are at least two quite large HOLES need fixing--with property soils/fill/compaction, and ensure the DITCH can and will work as FALL/WINTER rains have started and are coming.

The gutter line for the sidewalk is damaged and causes the sidewalk to sink. There is a lot of rain water coming from the hill above.

I'd like to report a safety concern. Yesterday, I saw nailed wood planks on trees, littering (chairs, construction lumbers, foams, pulley...etc) on parcel 290930TR-B, connecting to Vintage 5 in Sammamish.
