City of Milpitas PLUS

Please paint curb red. Cars park at the very edge of crosswalk making it difficult to see on coming traffic and people crossing. Please see illegal parked car in white. New state law states no one shall park within 20 feet of a crosswalk. The reason for the law is to keep everyone safe.
Please enforce and comply with the law.e

If there is a quick stop for people dropping off kids at the BART station instead of entering the BART parking lot, things could be better.

Please help to move this truck ASAP. This truck is blocking the view of the cars coming from behind at full speed. There are 2 schools in the area and for cars trying to take a left or right turn from the STOP sign at Mt.Shasta Ave becomes very difficult as it blocks the view from behind the truck. Unless the car goes a little ahead , there is no visibility of the oncoming traffic. This is going to lead to accidents very soon.

Also there are children who walk to school, and the cars are not able to see the children unless they start walking in the middle of the road. Everyone is a rush in the morning, and because the cars from the STOP sign are not able to decide whether to move ahead or not, accidents are bound to happen. The owner should park the truck in some inside street rather than a main road.

First there used to be a TOW truck parked at the same exact spot and now this truck. This truck has not moved for over a month now.

Can that spot please be marked as a ‘NO PARKING’ zone ? This issue comes up repeatedly.

To whom it may concern,
There is a safety issue at the Milpitas high aquatic complex. I’m concerned about the children having to walk and share the same driveway as the vehicles coming and going out of the parking lot. Is there a safer way or a walkway so that the kids don’t have to walk were the vehicles drive. Please address this serious safety issue for the children/swimmers that use the Milpitas High Aquatic Complex. Or please forward this to the person/people that would be in charge of this type of issue!?

Please add "fly overs " in Milpitas intersections to address new population rise in the city to reduce wait times. Fremont people can reach Santa Clara faster than Milpitas due to multiple signals in Milpitas a small flyover can fix the problem.

I am a resident of this community & I live on 1206 Gingewood Dr. We have kids playing outside from multiple homes most evenings and more so during the summer days.

Usually cars come in from Palisades Dr onto Gingerwood Dr. Because Palisades Dr is an open street; the cars tend to drive faster. There have been multiple incidents where after taking turn from Palisades Dr onto Gingerwood Dr the cars had to hard brake to stop or slow down as kids are playing & running around.

There is an accident waiting to happen. So I request we assess not only Palisades Dr, but this entire housing community and do what needs to be done to address the fast driving car issue. Some thoughts could be to build speed bumps on Palisades Dr, install street signs, speed limit signs etc. As you enter "Cll Del Sol" street, there are already signs and speed bumps and we could have something similar on this community as well.

As mentioned; if this is not addressed sooner; there is an incident waiting to happen.

We disparately need a speed bump in front of our house, as there are lot of cars speeding and starting from our house. I have small kids and so do my neighbors as you know these house are near to 3 schools of Milpitas, it is for everyones safety. So kindly request to have the speed bump installed in from our house as soon as possible.

If the city considers connecting Yosemite Drive to Curtis Avenue, native Milpitas residents can use this route to commute to work. Those heading to North San Jose and Santa Clara can benefit from this connection, potentially alleviating the abundant traffic on the west side of Calaveras Boulevard significantly.

Request to please add lighting on n the section between Seacliff and Grand Teton. It is very dark and dangerous.

Drivers doing donut spins on Watson Ct frequently. At time he/she almost run the curb and hit the commercial building.
Can we request a couple of speed bumps to be installed? This will easily eliminate the problems. Thank you.
If the city is not willing to do this, can a business owner install rubber speed bumps on public street?

Speeding is common on Smithwood. Smithwood St. is used by people to bypass Spangler school and the resulting school slowdown Both Smithwood and Heath desperately need speed bumps and stop signs to slow the traffic ..
